May Member Update

Spring has finally sprung! Opening day was a fun kick-off to the season, it was great to see our members celebrate the upcoming year. We have a lot of exciting updates this month, with many projects nearing completion, and can't wait to showcase our best amenities yet.

Restaurant Update

The restaurant is now officially open! Our May hours will be as follows:

Wednesday 11-8

Thursday 11-8

Friday 11-8

Saturday 10-4

Sunday 10-4

We will also have beverage cart service Friday-Sunday on the golf course. You will also now be able to member charge food and beverage items to your member account. Check out our new menu below, we will also have a variety of specials weekly. We are looking forward to everyone enjoying the bar and restaurant!

Practice Area Update

We will be finishing up some final touches on the revamped driving range, so please be mindful of any roped off areas and restrictions. We will send notifications of days where the range is closed. Once we are fully open, please remember we will be using the mats on Tuesday-Friday, and the grass tee on Saturdays and Sundays.

Our new short game area has also been sodded and hydroseeded. This area will not be ready until all sod has rooted, so please stay off this area until we announce that it is ready.

Golf Course Schedule & Projects

I’m glad to see everyone out and enjoying the course this Spring, we have had some great days for golf! By now everyone has most likely gotten the chance to see our new short game facility. Please stay off of this area as the hydro-seeding and sod is still trying to get established. With that, the driving range tee area has new sod in and around it as well. Please stay out of the roped off areas until we notify everyone.

We have some great golf ahead of us this season so please remember to help out where you can when playing. Please fix your ball marks as well as fill in your divots. This year we do have many new members and we can stay ahead of the damage if we police ourselves as we play. We look forward to continue improving the course for you.!

Taylormade Fitting Day

Our first fitting day of the season is Wednesday, May 15th from 1:00-6:00. Taylormade will be at the driving range with all of the newest gear, including the Qi10 family of woods and irons. Space is limited so appointments are encouraged, please click here to reserve your time. If you are unable to book an appointment feel free to stop by and demo some of the new products.

Billing

Member Statements are sent out on the 2nd of every month, and payments are due no later than the last day of every month. The Member Billing portal can be found in the Member Area of the website and on the Mobile App. Please contact membership@blackhawkct.com  with any billing questions.

At this point, Members enrolled in the installment plan must have paid the January, February, and March installments, plus any outstanding charges, to be eligible for play. The mandatory Range Fee will be billed to all Memberships on May 1, 2024.

Communications

Member Updates (newsletters) will be distributed monthly via email from membership@blackhawkct.com To view a feed of published Member Updates, please visit the Member Area. Our weekly "Tournament & Events Roundup" emails are sent every Tuesday, these include results, upcoming events, and sign-up information.

More timely course updates, tournament information, and reminders are sent out via push notification on the Mobile App. Make sure push notifications are set to “ON” to receive these updates. If you need assistance, please contact Alex or James.

Golf Shop / Merchandise

Members have the option to join a Mill River Plan this season! A Mill River Plan is a buying plan designed to provide players with discounted pricing on goods purchased through the Blackhawk Golf Shop. The concept is simple: there is an upfront fee to join the program and then all your golf shop purchases are discounted to 10% above wholesale costs. This includes Equipment, Balls, Gloves, Shoes, Shirts, Hats, and SPECIAL ORDERS! This great program saves you hundreds of dollars on all your golfing needs throughout the season.

Along with offering the Mill River Plan, we will also be carrying some new lines across both golf shops for 2024 including Ralph Lauren/RLX, Greg Norman, Turtleson, FootJoy, and more!

The 2024 Mill River charge will be $199 for Single Memberships and $249 for Families. You can opt-in to the Mill River Plan by contacting the golf shop.
