June Member Update

The season is in full swing, we hope everyone is enjoying the green grass and sunshine out on the golf course. With an active summer ahead we have some club updates. Our weekly "Tournament Tuesday" emails are also a great way to stay in the loop on all golf and restaurant events.

Restaurant Update

The restaurant will now be open Tuesday-Sunday and our weekly specials have begun! If you had a restaurant credit balance from last year that amount has been applied to your member account in the form of "credit book". This can be redeemed at any time for all golf shop merchandise, soft drinks, or food, it may not be redeemed for alcohol. Please notify your server that you would like to use credit book for your purchases. Beverage cart service will run Tuesday-Sunday. Happy Hour is Tuesday-Friday from 4:00-6:00, stop in for discounted food and drinks! Summer hours are as follows:

Tuesday 11-8 -- Trivia Night (Every other week)

Wednesday 11-8

Thursday 11-8 -- Italian Night

Friday 11-8 -- Prime Rib Night

Saturday 10-4

Sunday 10-4-- Brunch

Junior Camps

New to Blackhawk this year, we are launching our first Junior Golf Camp. Hosted by our own Top 50 US Kids Junior Instructor, James McIntosh, PGA. Bring your kids, grandkids, nieces or nephews, friends, all are welcome! Practice Area Update

We will be finishing up some final touches on the revamped driving range, so please be mindful of any roped off areas and restrictions. Please remember we will be using the mats on Tuesday-Friday, and the grass tee on Saturdays and Sundays.

Our new short game area has also been sodded and hydroseeded. This area will not be ready until all sod has rooted, so please stay off this area until we announce that it is ready.

Golf Course Schedule & Projects

Members of Blackhawk Country Club,

As many have seen the golf course is really start to tighten in. We have had large amounts of growth this last month, and we are now seeing excellent grass coverage in the fairways and in previously bare areas. We are placing an emphasis on creating definition between fairway and rough cuts. The greens are in great shape and rolling really well.

As we near summer please be mindful that in order to keep the course in great condition watering is a necessity. During your round you will see sprinklers and staff members using hoses. In the case there are sprinklers running they will be only on for a few minutes at a time. In the case there is a staff member using a hose they will move out of your way for you to play through.

We look forward to continue making the golf course more enjoyable with the best conditions that we can provide!

Taylormade Fitting Day

Back by popular demand, our next fitting day of the season is Tuesday, June 18th from 2:00-6:00pm. Taylormade will be at the driving range with all of the newest gear, including the Qi10 family of woods and irons. Space is limited so appointments are encouraged, please click here to reserve your time. If you are unable to book an appointment feel free to stop by and demo some of the new products.

Billing

Member Statements are sent out on the 2nd of every month, and payments are due no later than the last day of every month. The Member Billing portal can be found in the Member Area of the website and on the Mobile App. Please contact membership@blackhawkct.com  with any billing questions.

At this point, Members enrolled in the installment plan must have paid the January, February, and March installments, plus any outstanding charges, to be eligible for play. The mandatory Range Fee will be billed to all Memberships on May 1, 2024.

Communications

Member Updates (newsletters) will be distributed monthly via email from membership@blackhawkct.com To view a feed of published Member Updates, please visit the Member Area. Our weekly "Tournament & Events Roundup" emails are sent every Tuesday, these include results, upcoming events, and sign-up information.

More timely course updates, tournament information, and reminders are sent out via push notification on the Mobile App. Make sure push notifications are set to “ON” to receive these updates. If you need assistance, please contact Alex or James.

Golf Shop / Merchandise

Members have the option to join a Mill River Plan this season! A Mill River Plan is a buying plan designed to provide players with discounted pricing on goods purchased through the Blackhawk Golf Shop. The concept is simple: there is an upfront fee to join the program and then all your golf shop purchases are discounted to 10% above wholesale costs. This includes Equipment, Balls, Gloves, Shoes, Shirts, Hats, and SPECIAL ORDERS! This great program saves you hundreds of dollars on all your golfing needs throughout the season.

Along with offering the Mill River Plan, we will also be carrying some new lines across both golf shops for 2024 including Ralph Lauren/RLX, Greg Norman, Turtleson, FootJoy, and more!

The 2024 Mill River charge will be $199 for Single Memberships and $249 for Families. You can opt-in to the Mill River Plan by contacting the golf shop.
