Hello and welcome to June! We hope you enjoyed the long weekend in honor of Memorial Day. To say we had perfect golf weather is an understatement!
Upcoming events
As you hopefully have noticed, we are sending a weekly Tournament & Event Roundup email to keep you posted on upcoming events. All updates live permanently in the Member Area on the website, should you ever need to look back for information.
*Sign-ups are open for both the Men's and Women's Member Guest Tournaments. This is a wonderful opportunity to showcase the progress at Blackhawk and encourage your guests to play here with us more often! The Restaurant has prepared a great menu for both events and we are sure to have a good time on the course. Don't wait to sign up!
Pace of Play
As we get into the busy season here at the club, we'd like to remind everyone of our pace-of-play policy. Our goal is to have all rounds completed in four hours or less, regardless of day, or time. Front-nine target pace is 1:50, and the back-nine target pace is 2:00 (to account for it being the more difficult side). We will monitor turn times of each group and ask groups to maintain a consistent pace. Please always try to keep up with the group in front of you and be mindful that there may be many groups behind you. We pride ourselves in having a timely tee sheet and a pleasant round for all members and guests.
Golf Course Updates
We would like to remind everyone to please replace their divots and repair ball marks on the greens. Please rake your bunker after your shot, and make sure to enter and exit on the "low side" of the bunker. Carts should travel on the paths and in the rough as much as possible, using the "90-degree method" to get to your golf ball. This practice reduces wear and tear on the grass and allows for the best possible fairway conditions.
