Hello everyone! We are happy to be sharing this update in the presence of grass and warmer weather, finally! We know that Mother Nature has not been kind to us this winter but hopefully that will change soon as spring is here and we will be enjoying beautiful green grass and the warm sunshine out on the course.
Letter from Jonathan Goodman, EVP
Dear Members,
I’d like to personally welcome everyone to the 2026 season at Blackhawk Country Club. We are incredibly excited to have you back and to build on the energy and enthusiasm we felt together at our holiday party.
As we look ahead, this season is all about enhancing your experience and continuing to make Blackhawk a place you’re proud to call home.
Driving Range & Trackman Technology
We are proud to introduce Trackman technology to our driving range. This will bring a PGA-level experience directly to Blackhawk.
This cutting-edge system will allow you to:
Analyze your swing with data like club speed, ball speed, and impact
Play virtual courses from around the world
Compete in games with friends and family
Simply enjoy a more engaging and interactive practice experience
In addition, we will be expanding the social side of the range, including food and beverage service, events, and happy hours. Our goal is to help curate a true destination within the club.
The New Member Grill Room
We’re also excited to unveil our new Member Grill Room! This space is designed for you to relax, connect, and enjoy food and drinks and a social space to gather.
A special thank you to Chef Chris, Susan, Candace, Chris Cappella, and Chris Caulfield for their incredible work in bringing this vision to life. The transformation is something we are all extremely proud of, and we hope you feel the same.
Food, Beverage & Member Enhancements
This season, we are elevating our food and beverage program with:
Member-specific pricing on select food and drinks
New Happy Hour menu
A refreshed cocktail program (including what I believe is a fantastic margarita and elevated classics like old fashioneds with ice blocks)
Thoughtful pricing adjustments across the board
And yes, that means no more $12 High Noons.
Looking Ahead
Everything we are doing is centered around one goal: making Blackhawk your home away from home.
I couldn’t be more proud of our team or more excited for what’s ahead. It is truly an honor to be part of this community.
Welcome to what we believe will be our best season yet.
Warm regards,
Jonathan
Update from our Head Superintendent
Blackhawk Members –
Happy Easter to all. It is my hope that this season will provide new beginnings and opportunities for growth to all. We have been busy building our team and getting the course ready for opening day. Please be mindful and patient with us as we navigate what should be the last couple weeks with the possibility of frost.
The course seems to have held up quite nice coming out of winter. We are draining well and starting to dry up from all the snow. Over the next couple of weeks we will be finishing up our course clean up and tree work. As the growing season progresses, we will integrate our normal maintenance schedule as well as our autonomous mowers.
Thanks again for your support and we look forward to seeing you on the course!
Bryan Zeiss
Golf Course Superintendent
